What am I looking at? is 7-10 foot the wave face height ? or the swell size?
Is moderate to light winds the norm?

What kites sizes do you recommend in general? I'm thinking of bringing my 13m and 10m. Is there any point is taking smaller?
PS I'm not heading to Fiji until sept.

I was over there 3 weeks ago on Nananu-I-Ra, got lucky and had wind the whole time. Apparently it comes in 9 day cycles where it just blows all night and day!

id say 16 - 22 knots was the norm while I was there, but we had one 35+ day which I didn't have a small enough kite for.

was over there at nananu-i-ra last year in ausgust, had a 12m and an 8. it started around 15 knots when we got there and then increased every day till it was about 25-30 on the second last day, storm came through that night then there was no a breath of wind the last day, got 6 solid days of kiting in, 5-6 hours a day.

i have also heard that it comes in 9 day cycles
