Hi,
Just arrived at Base Backbacker Hostel in central Auckland and im keen on getting out on the water. Were are the good spots for kitesurfing here in nz? You guys have a speciall nz kiteforum that i can chack out were peaple are heading? My friends dont kitesurf so would be cool to have some other surfers around me giving me a heads up on the local conditions. Thanks!

Raglans way over rated. Far too dependant on tidal current to actually work. Taranaki is the bomb. You need some skills though.

naki is prob sweet but far from auckland, head to mt manganui (tauranga) 2hours south or whangarei two hours north. thats just a start, there is loads of spots and you'll get some half decent wind.
