Howdy all, I'm heading down to the snow with a crew if anyone else is interested for the first week of August. We will be accompanied by the show Totally Wild recording a segment for the Kitewing, it would be cool to have some kites in the back round? If interested give me a buzz on 0438268952
Mark.I will also help you out if you have never kite snowboarded before.

Which snow are you heading too?
Do you use your kitewing on dirtsurfers?
They look awesome cool but are very pricey......
You should start a new post and explain exactly what a kitewing is, what they are good for and how much they cost.

I can't advertise on the forum. It's unfair on people that pay for their advertising on it. But it is a pretty sick sport, easier then kitesurfing. I am still pretty obsessed with kitesurfing. The KW is a perfect cross over for the sport, when the wind isn't coming from the correct direction, or is a fraction too light or you want to get some air coming down hills in no wind at all? I rollerblade and use my long board on my local cycleways all the time, make sure you always, always, always give way to everyone. We'll be more then likely heading down to Thredbo.

The dates for the snow trip and shoot are the 6th 7th 8th and back on the 9th of August. More than likely be staying in Jindy. Let me know the numbers of the people going down and I will sort accomodation. All are welcome.
Ideally (for the camera crew) we'll go kiting at the base of Perisher in the car park, or at worst we'll be catching the chair lift to the top of Thredbo and going up to the plateau where we should get some great conditions. If the conditions are sh#t I will fly my wing down through the resort (should piss a few people off) and we can just go snowboarding.....boring, better then nothing I suppose. Anyway that's why we are going for 4 days, we are bound to get at least resonable conditions on one day.

You can use the kitewing with a dirt board, mountain board, skate board, rollerblades, snow board, skis, blades skis, ice skates, anything that can be wind assisted except in water....leave that to kitesurfing (my other love). They are a little pricey but I guarantee you'll get your money's worth out of them! I ride with mine on my local cycle way with my long board skatie or rollerblades when ever the wind just isn't strong enough to go Kitesurfing, or is coming from the wrong direction. It's even fun to crank down grass hills popping little airs on a dirt board in no wind at all! When the wind is on you can rip up and down the hill like a massive wave. The wing generates a lot of power. It's pretty sick.
