I may be staying a Noosa North Shore Resort during the holiday’s .Its on the northern side of Noosa River and close to Lake Cooroibah. I'm hoping to get out kiting if the winds up but not to sure of where to go .I'm hoping I can just walk down to the beach and go out preferably with some other kiters around. My kiting time will be greatly increased if I can kite close to the resort as the wife and kids won't miss me for a couple of hours but much longer may cause tension. Any advice from local kiters would be much appreciated.

Will be heading up on Boxing Day. I will check out Noosa river mouth but sounds like it gets really crowded

thats ruff man. So let me get this right you are heading off to go camping right near a perfect kiting spot but because you are going camping there you cant take your gear? lol my dad somehow still finds room to take his windsurfing gear everywhere when they go camping i reckon you might just be under the thumb lol.

Go the river mouth. I was over there in November and there were a few out doing their thing. I was only up for the arvo and was well and truly envious! There's a bit of swell further out too, might be bit of a hike to get to it from the north though.

it's going to be a southerly christmas day onwards 20-25 knots.
you could start at noosa north shore and end up at Double Island point lighthouse. 70 k's i think.
3-4 metre seas.
could be fun!

Curses, why didn't I rent a 4wd for the week rather than a city car. I'm up for a 70k downwinder Noosa to DI next week if someone's doing one?

I think I'm only in Noosa from the 29th to the 1st though? Not sure.
