thinking about going to elliot heads these next holidays but have done some research and people are saying that the waterways are toxic?? Just wondering if this is a true fact or people saying bs to keep it a less-crowded spot thanks

Yeah the laser sharks are a real problem at the moment, best to stay away.

Honestly if you don't know what a laser shark is you are lucky. Once you know what they are you will constantly be fearful of one being near you every time you body drag back to your board.

Trust me on this one, ignorance is bliss.

Don't worry about the laser sharks, you just need to wear welding goggles. If you don't your site comes back after a few weeks.

Toxic, sure if you drink enough salt water I guess, the only thing you really have to worry about is losing your board to the outgoing tide
