Where do I go tomorrow? Was checking the spot guide on WAKSA homepage but only woodies north beach looked decent in those winds? Don't mind if it's cross-off or whatever.. Any suggestions?

melville is off shore when from the NE, i was thinking of going down to applecross and parking on The Strand near the tennis courts. The water is a bit shallow in places.

I think I will drive to Point Walter via The Stand and Melville beach and see how it looks.

The times that I have been to Peli point everyone has been on the southern side of the point. I thought the actual tip of the point was a CALM/DEC nature reserve i.e. no access????

OK, I haven't seen people launch from down there, but I'm not a regular at Peli. I prefer Melville if on the river.

Reason I want to try Applecross is there will be a large expanse of river for the wind to cross, hopefully it might iron out someof the gusts? Not sure on my theory but fingers crossed.

Let me know if people are heading down tomorrow morning, I'm off to bed now. Getting up at 4am to go fishing is making my brain melt...

The reason people ride on shore is so they dont get blown out to Africa when they snap a line.

I as out at coventry reef today, got 2 salmon and was monstered by a sambo. It took 100m of 10kg line before busting the leeder

So whats the consensus, where is the best place for tomorrow morning

i think they are talking about whalen bay, just east of majestics

i wouldnt think that would work so well on a ne. downwind would be towards majestics and the jetty. it works pretty well on a nw'er but its a sketchy launch all round
