Hey folks,

I'm heading to the Philippines early in December for 2 weeks - Does anyone have any experience of the wind around this time? Any recommendations? Through searching it sounds like I should avoid Borocay. I'm currently considering Coron, El Nido, Puerto Princesa / maybe Siargao (tho that's a little out of the way of the others)

Thanks

Cuyo Island. Small Island with nothing to do but kite. cuyokiteboarding.com/

There's some good Airbnb's to stay at. All walking distance. Resort on the other side of the island for great food and kiting out front also....dependant on direction. Can fly or get the boat from Palawan or others. I loved it there in December. Alittle early in the season but such a great place and CHEAP!

avoid borocay like the plague - crowded, choppy lagoon, if you're going its for the night life but not for the kiting.. there was talk about a yacht charter to some kite spots nearby...

Kingfisher is cool, met some great people, good vibe. However the waves although great in size are really dumpy and not worth traveling for imo.

Hi there,
i went two years ago 13th -26th November, f
From memory it was windy not windy the first week but all second week was. YOu can look up online the windy seasn dates. Also check out Kingfisher resort on Facebook, I cant recommend the team highly enough.

Maybe i got a bit unlucky as the BWS crew seems to go back every year for trying out gear. so it must be pretty good.

I was there 2 years ago too with the BWS crew (October 2016). I have been back twice since then,. You need to take tides in to consideration as it gets a bit low to get out over the reef, and the tides are very odd. The waves (rights) are fun, but fast and furious breaking on to the reef. Wind is consistent at this time of the year except for the typhoons in that area that change wind patterns . I was there 2 weeks ago and used every sized kite, but the sweet spot is 7-9m
