Hi guys,

Just trying to sus out who's already kiting tazzy and who's planning on kiting tazzy this year.

Keen to get a regular crew together for west/north/east coast trips throughout the year.
(Already got 5 or 6 and more would be sweet)

moving to Burnie in June or July. Be up for any trips that are on after that (but I think I'll need to buy a new wettie).

Hey Dan, How long you gona be in tazzy for?

First trip will be early March and probably to Stanley which has awesome flat water inlets & surf, good wind and only 45 minute drive to Marawah if waves are on.

Brady, theres a guy called Sam that kites out of Somerset which is right next to Burnie. This his email: [email protected]

I kited & surfed all through winter last year with a good 4/3 and was toasty.

Was there over Chrissy.
Only tried north coast due to westerly wind conditions.

Tried to kite Low head but was over 30knots and blew me away. I was trying at the lagoon which is deceptive due to its shelter.

Kited Turners beach near Devonport which was good at low tide(40m beach at low tide).Good very clean cross shore wind most of the year and a rivermouth for flat riders. Waves gave me grief but were fun 1/2 m.

Pick of the bunch is Hawley/Port Sorell.Go near the boat launch area in Port Sorell. Big flat basin wide launxh beach, land on most directions a lot like inverloch.Brilliant ungusty sea breeze. Shallow water but can rip through with the tide.
