Is it possible to kite the entrance in a westerly?
Over near the caravan park, where that spit kinda thing is between the lake n the ocean.

20-30kt westerlys for the next couple of days, n no work.
So hoping to get a kite in, either there, at squids or possibly jimmys

Is picnic point where the skate park is?.

Well wind permitting, i will more than likely be heading down from Newy on the friday then.

Me n my little bro are heading down tomoz, checking squids ink, then swansea co op then onto picnic point, hope the winds on.

Howling up here now, over 20kts all day, norah head has bearly got into yellows all day!

yip thats right .the way I figure what it is at squids is the halfway difference in wind strength between nobbys and norah in a westerly .Nobbys is right at the end of the hunter valley and hence you get the valley effect .It can be a 30 kt nw at nobbys and a nice 20 kts at squids and 10 kts on the norah reading .I'm not sure what it would be blowing at the entrance on those occasions .my gues would be something around the same or a bit less than squids

Picnic point shows more wind but the direction isnt that great. However kurnell is a bit less wind but in a better direction. This is all speculation off the wind graphs.

Well put it this way, you have 3 or more spots within half hour of picnic point that are kiteable in a westerly, not sure of how many are near kurnell, but my money would be on picnic point, if its no good, drive half hour n u got other spots that will def be working!
