Kiting at Melville

Hey all
im kinda new to kiting...
just curious to know what melville's like to kite at in a SW'er

I havent been out down there yet in a decent breeze, and its heaps closer to home that the ocean.

Also know as Gusty Bay.

Great place to be in SW, especially if you live close by. The season is pretty well finished now as there are only very rare seabreezes, just fronts...not for learning, especially at Mel. Go to the beach if you must.

Melville is a pretty dangerous place if alone and only beginning. There are many people on the footpath, cars, houses etc. Ask locals at the beach about conditions.

Local Conventions are:

Land and Launch in Water.

Ask people for help.

Turn 50 meters from shore.

Walk back with kite towards water...ie. not flying over road or people heads.
