Can you snowkite at Mt Buller?

If so:

Is there a website regarding wind conditions?

Does it cost anything?

Is it harder then kite surfing?

Not too sure about Mt Buller as there are not that many open areas away from the crowds. ( possibly over at Mt Sterling )

I know that some people have been kiting at Mt Hotham in fact there may even be a company running that takes you out into the "back country".

The Dargo high plains would also be worth checking out.

I find it difficult to think of anywhere at Bulla or Sterling. Try out back of Falls or Hotham.

Havent tried kiting it yet , however from a past life of back country X country skier/boarder, head out from Falls Creek towards Bogong Plains, Old cattle men Huts to stay in(with fire wood and if you get organised, you can do a food drop by car in summer for winter rations ), open spaces, all above tree line, great valleys, highest point in the mountains...hence more snow...????maybe. only thing in sight to watch out for is the snow marker poles, every 50 meters? that you follow in a white out to get out of there. Unfortunatly.....long walk out, better to jump on XC skies from Falls(1-1/2 hours???), unless you hike from the back way (google earth it)still up to 4 hours walk to snow line. Magic Place, and thousands of acres to play in. Good to know if others have done the mission
