G'day all
I'm new to the sport, I've had lessons, got my own gear and flown my kite about five times but every time I've been kiting I've taken a mate to help me launch/land. I was just wondering what people do when they go kiting on their own. Do you just yell out to another kiter nearby to give you a hand to launch/land? I guess this seems like the obvious thing to do and may seem stupid but I'm not sure if there is a special way to ask or something, they didn't teach me this in the lessons you see and I don't wanna piss anybody off

'hey mate, can ya give us a launch' will usually do the trick.
Ask once your ready to go so as not too piss the other person around for too long.

Also don't be annoying people too much on the water etc by getting in there way, if your a newbie you should probably be downwind a bit, if your annoying 'the crew' at the spot they may be reluctant to help you get the kite in the air.

generally you wont have a problem tho, most kiters a friendly.

and when you want someone to help land ur kite rub ur belly and pat ur head at the same time .

Make sure you pat ur head anyway
people will think ur just hungry or strange if u rub ur belly.
