Hi, just wanted to ask a question of Coffs Harbour Kitesurfers

Ive just moved to Coffs Harbour, will be staying for about 5months. Joined the NSWKBA last night. Am an intermediate kiter with an Ozone Instinct Kite.

Where is the best place to kite - where should I NOT kite and how do I get in touch with some local kiters. Drove to a few beaches today looking for some kites but couldn't see any.

thanks

Contact Bob Dawson, he is the ORIGINAL coffs kiter, some might even say he is an old fart, but duck quickly if you do!!

Thanks Steve.

At least the old fart is still out there doing it. Looking forward to the Damian McKay event followed by Mambo, should be a good couple of weeks chasing the wind.

Also Rod Hocker is normally at the creek. He is at Hardcore Surf shapes on Orlando St. near the bridge :)

Hey Bob,
You are not the only one! I am still on the barricades too. I had a little set back the last 5 weeks due to a broken ankle, but I hope to be back on water by the end of this week. The wind is back in Melbourne, and the 2006 season looks great.
Hope to see you at the Damian McKay event.

Cheers,

Silviu

Exactly Bob!, I might even join the geriatric brigade down at mambo this year.
Had to laugh on sat, I went buggying with some southern boys, put up the 10' dwing, and zoomed around the place, hooking upwind better than almost anything (Ozone yakuza - awesome power and upwind).
The looks on their faces was amazing, its like I had come out of the stone ages - buggying with a stunt kite on steroids - what next!

How things have changed!
