Kiting in Kalbarri

howdy peeps.

am heading up to the sun & warmth of Kalbarri for a few days next week. whilst i won't have time to get to Port Gregory, does anyone know of or have any suggestions for kiting in or near Kalbarri???

i'll be up there then
have been there last three years at this time
pt gregory best bet (only 60k), lucky bay/wagoe also similar

around kalbarri its self very limited
the river i have found is s***, gusty and horrible, but still go out if desperate from time to time just to remind myself how crappy it is

try a search on this forum as this has been discussed b4

Kalbarri is a real s*** place for kiting.Don't even think about it.Your best bet would be Port Gregory.

where is Lucky Bay/Wolgoe in relation to Kalbarri?

in between kal and p gregory
about 45km south if i remember correctly
need 4wd and air compressor

infact wasnt that bad
kited down towards jetty, across and back
for mowing the lawn, wind was ok
or maybe i kite better now
06 fuels also make life easier

mooring bouys a nuisance, dont want to drop the kite around them

had good look around wagoe/lucky bay/ sandalwoood bay
not a lot on offer - occasional gaps in outer reef, short lagoons,
swell closing out in smallish conditions
