Hey WA guys....is there anywhere someone might be able to learn to kitesurf in Karratha? My GF's brother lives over there and wants to give it a go.

as far as I know there is no one that teaches in karratha think the closest shop that may offer lessons is in exmouth, most people in karratha work long hrs so finding time to help out after work hrs is dificult. But looks like the winter wind patern is just around the corner and there are a few good spots to learn up here in winter.
If he can find someone to give lessons.
good luck

Ok thanks. I'll suggest that he takes the time to get some lessons in Exmouth then. Can you tell me the best place for him to go in Karratha as a noob?

Yep I can help you out if you can get down to Exmouth.Winter is a bit colder down here but at least the water isn't muddy. There's a few kiter's in karatha but beware of the gusty easterlies in winter up there Makes learning a bit harder but then the sle kites can help.Give me an email I might still be able to help and if you want to get out of the heat and get some ideal conditions come on down over summer.

Theres a bay between Karratha and dampier (huon??) where most kiters go on the easterlies, the tide is sketchy though. Some of the docs at karratha medical centre are keen and get out when its on
