Howdy Guys,

I'll be over in Newcastle in 4 weeks time for a training course. I'll be staying at the Crown Plaza Hotel next to the Foreshore, and were just checking what areas are banned for kiting over that way?

I've never been there before so I have no idea what areas are kite-able. But from the looks of the map there are plenty of good areas that will work in any wind direction.

And is there anywhere to rent some gear nearby? I'm not sure if work will appreciate paying for the extra luggage, but it wont stop me from trying!!

Cheers in advance,

Walshy

Best bet if the westerlys stay on till then is squids ink at belmont, about 20 minutes from newy or the fishing co op at swansea, both are flat water.
If you get a southerly/sou wester head up to birubi point at anna bay, great ocean spot.

Hey Walshd Dave here from board crazy, give us a yell when you get here and we'll see what we can do for you..
How long are you here for??
You can kite any wind direction if you want to make your way down to the lake.
In 4 weeks you may even be very luck y if you hook a seabreeze although a little early in the season for that. Or else a southerly will get you out across at stockton or round at merewether beach.
Feel free to give us a cal when you hit town and we'll feel you in on what the crew is up too and where to go :-)
