Generally Rathmines will be another few knots in a SE than what Marmong is due to land mass and wind shadow
Rathimines also good wind in south, late in the arvo though it can start to drop off and the wind recedes back into the bay
Not a bad launch either beside the building with a reasonable clear area.
I used to go there but have a place at marmong so cant be bothered traveling
Road and power lines are very close to the water were the windsurfers launch
Would not call this a beginners spot at all, you need to be very confident at self land and launch
Or just launch and land in the water which is what some locals always do
S and Se would be the safest there as the wind is crosshore to less chance of a misshap
You will see me most of the time at marmong on a foil board and foil kite in anything from s, se, e, ne
Also another kiter at marmong a lot
And occasional a couple more
There is also a guy launches from the end of coal point in a NE, NE from belmont to wangi is always 5knots more than anywhere else on the lake!
The park on bolton point near community hall is also good in a 20 plus knots S or SSE
Have also kited Warnersbay in a SW
Most of these lake sessions are on race gear though
If on a twin tip the only decent places on the lake in the right wind would be Squids and swansea and salts bay
But if you are local and dont want to travel there is enough places to launch but most have narrow wind direction envelope, so you still do a bit of travel anyway
