Does anyone on here kite at Townsville.... whats the winds like?
are there good kiting spots?

except for the box jellyfish, crocodiles, stonefish and i've heard stingrays claim the odd victim.

Hi Kiteodyssey,

Townsville has a great little scene going on up there. As idunno mentioned, some of those places rate with the best Oz has to offer, like Alva, Lucinda and Bushlands.

Yeah baby, just nasty brown water. Also Maggie Island is pretty great and planty of crew riding over there now too.

couple of hours south you have Blowen Bowen!! some good beaches here... some protected and some wide open!

ask any one who was here for the Coconet classic in september if your comming down ..

send me a pm and i can give you a forecast before you get down here
