I'm off to Vanuatu shortly, (staying Port Vila) and was wondering if you guys could give advice ofr kiting or windsurfing over there? I'm planning on taking some kite gear with me, and was wondering whether I need to wrap the board in something for the flight? I was hoping to find out even whether it is worth taking any gear, particularly if there might be hire gear (either late model kiting or windsurfing gear) available on the island. Any wind, weather, water nasties info would be great too!
we visited a cupla years ago and posted a bunch of stuff on kiteforum.com .Wind was lacking while we were there but it does blow .There is a place we stayed at on the NE part of the main island called Beachcomber .Watch out for low tide ,reef sticks out .Great place the locals are awesome and the KAva is good .Say hi to telly if you bump into him .
