If you drive from Karratha to dampier, you start heading up the big hill, turn right towards the NW gas project and then turn right in the bay. go there only on a high tide otherwise the bay will go dry on you.

12-16 material in the winter with easterlies which are gusty. (gusty, NW in the summer which are variable, almost wet season). you can catch the edge of a cyclone you can kite but its not special.... but what else is there to do in karratha
