South Perth most likely. Works fine in an easterly.

It was Andy and I.

Launched from just west of the funcats near the south Perth flag pole.

Very gusty.... But good fun, wind from 7kts up to 18kts or so. Photos to come

Not to be advised for inexperienced and those who can't handle gusts

Cool, next time there is a decent easterly at lunchtime I'm going to sneak off to south Perth for a kite and impress my CBd workmates! Love it!

Because, in the end, isn't that why everyone kites?

I bet those office birds in the CBD were all moist watching the efforts of 2 dudes kiting in super sketchy wind..

One of the worst, smelliest locations in Perth to kite.. And crap wind too

For once Nobs has said something worthwhile - still negative but correct.
This site is not to be recommended.
And whatever you do wear hard soled booties - the mud is littered with broken glass. Every M2 of it.
And Im guessing any cut would be toxic before you get it cleaned up.

Was awesome for something a little different.
Nice little beach to launch and land next to the funcats. The wind was switching between E and a little NE, when E no hassles at all and enjoyable, a little sketchy when from the NE coming through/over the city. Its shallow through out so stays really flat.
Found out yesterday, there use to be formula windsurfing held there a few years back.
Would be a great venue for events, pity it doesnt work on a good SW... or does it?? :)

No it doesnt Andy.
Been tried over the years - way lighter & ridiculously gusty & swirling effects as well.
Awful.
