its the same thing!!!
I was for many years absolutely addicted to skiing, i think i strung together something like 6 winters on top of each other all over the world, chasing that most magical of days, the powder day!
Alas i had my wings clipped, had the knee recon and came to sunny Oz to escape the winter blues. Then i met the girl and have been here ever since.
Skiing was the thing i missed the most and as soon as i saw kiting i knew it would fill the hole. Know i'm hooked on kiting and it gives me everything skiing did. The stoke, the challenge, the friendships, dreaming of that perfect day, opportunities to travel and been a gear head.
Whats really striking is that most the big issues on this forums are ones us skiers had to tackle in the mid 90s when skiing crossed over from geek rich guy sport to a complete lifestyle for adventure seekers. Eg. different riding styles, debates over the value of new developments in kit, and importantly access to the backcountry.
Anyway they both rock and the world is a better place because of outlets like kiting and skiing.
Bit of a rant but damn i love skiing

How long to spring?
