hey guys
i have purchased some 8 mil (i think) spectra to replace a snapped chicken loop line on my slingy TD 12m. Im not sure if it matters, but its sheathed, black outside, white inside, slightly different braids... is this a problem? the stuff im replacing is unsheathed gray spectra...
also, Couple of questions....
1 - whats a good stopper knot to place at one end (inside my chicken loop) i was thinking a figure eight?
Also, some people are mentioning that you can add little replacement bits onto your bridles like on the new waroo pro and just replace those parts. small diameter spectra is the go, but i dont want to bother with complicated splicing, can these knots be replaced with bowlines or something?
This will also apply to the lines that run through the pulleys on my bar, i want to replace the lines, but dont want to splice, sew and stuff around, will knots be able cater for this, or should i just buy new lines and bridles from a shop...
opinions?

Uncle Rico,
Rule of thumb says:
Splicing weekens the line by 20% whilst any knot weekens the line by minimum 50%!
The least weekening is provided by the double fisherman knot.
Your choice!
Good luck and be safe
