hey guys i noticed that its going to be a Westerly this saturday and could change to a SW at some point in the day i dont normally like to kite a westerly but i got a new kite i wanna try, out so im real keen to get out does the wind become offshore if it turns to a SW at Kurnel? any other spots that i could travel to so i can kite on Saturday? i live on the northern beaches so even going up the coast is possible
A new kite to test out at the KKK is not a good idea.
There are shells on the beach and needles everywhere. You have rock groynes to deal with. And if you park in front Ricardo,s house the locals will cut your tyres. If you dont follow the local rule of who has right of way coming back to shore Pete will cut your lines with his fins from his twin tip as he boosts over your kite. And then you have Mcbridle to deal with on the beach now that is scary enough.
And if it goes SW you will end up going to New Zealand and then you have Cyclops to deal with, the one eyed great white shark.
Two places to kite a westerly is Kurnell and the entrance. Both easy to get too from your location. Although the weather isnt looking heaps promissing for kiting this weekend. Looks Gusty and wet
From what ive read on the forums and seen on google earth,I would think that Boat Harbour would be the place to kite especially if its forecast to go SW,or does the entry fee put people off. How much is it now?

18 bucks, id only goto boat harbor when it was nice weather and a SE
Saturday should be a perfect day of kiting at the KKK. Might rain heavy and the wind will be its usual 12-35knots of Groyne scraping westerly, but if we dont have the usual collection of newbs, euro's and blow-ins getting dragged down the bay, what would we do for laughs!! Come one, come all I say. Pump up your 13m , self launch on the shells and go nuts!!!!

KKK meaning the Klue Klux Klan ? or Kitepower ............... Klan ? im lost lol
Dont mess with the Hardcore KKK they were the first to kite in the bay on two lines kites with huge directional boards.
They are the Rnd team for all kites making improvements on any kite they touch , they saved the crossbow from being a flop by adding one pulley on it to reduce the bar pressure.
You need a special pass to kite there as its stamped as you drive in to the KKK by Mcbridle, and what ever you do do not touch Ricardos air compressor as many kites have been blown to pieces witout the Kings permission.
yehh m8 one place no1 goes or reali knows of in a SW u can kite as if ur driving from north side 2 kurnell u go over a huge bridge i think its captain cook their bit of a beach down their with the rite tide can b epic but knowing westerly's they can get gusty...
