In the middle of a great session, tried to rescue a runaway kite -a very contentious topic recently on the forum - I couldn't find a safe way to grab it what with it powering up and bar and lines all over the place. Unfortunately having decided there was nothing I could do, I went to head back in but my harness came away on one side powering my kite up and dragging me severely. I quick released, but in all the time it took to roll up the lines and secure my kite, I'd already said goodbye to my board! Big thanks to my good friends who came out to drag me back in.
