I feel your pain. I lost my board last week from lucky bay, and found it the next morning washed up ~1km South of the Narrows (next to freeway). Didja go for a bike/walk along that way (assuming the seabreeze kept up for a few hours after you lost your board)?

If ya haven't, it may still be worth a bike ride. My board was washed onto a li'l beach, and was hard to see unless you were looking for it.

Ohhh yeahhh... I saw your earlier post thinking the same so I walked from the Narrows back around to Pt. Walter the following day.

Thanks for the sentiments but not only do you feel my pain, so does my wife and I have had to see my doctor for stronger medication pertaining to my depression. Ironic I guess, thats why I took up kite surfing in the first place (and no, not to get away from my wife).

Canvassed the the various sailing clubs, kiteshops, councils and water police - who interestingly, monitor the pawnbroker databases daily (maybe I should of kept that to myself as there are some stupid crooks out there, worse still, dishonest creeps)

How long do most kiters wait before releasing that they may have to outlay for a new board or in my case, a not so new board?

Feeling your pain. Lost by Fanatic easyrider in lancelin, never seen again. Bought an addiction 130 from a friend lost that twice and returned both times but third time unlucky... That was two weeks ago. Found a secondhand FLX 132 (a rare thing indeed) on the forum and parted with my cash two days ago. When I was told this kitesurfing larke was expensive I wasn't taking into account losing two boards in my first three months into the sport. Still love it though. Just gotta get back on the horse and keep riding i'd say.

ps had a reel leash on two of the occasions when boards were lost but have to admit they were spectacular wipeouts! Anyone had similar problems with the leashes?
