According to the BOM the La Nina is weakening. www.bom.gov.au/climate/enso/

I hope so it has been a shocking season.

March & April are generally pretty quiet for wind but I am optimistic for the return of the westerlies and southeries from May to August.

Has anyone got any predictions for the winter season this year also in the tropics (FNQ and Pacific Islands)?

I dont know about here in Australia but the Mauritius low pressure season is normal again - theyve had a couple of cyclones in Feb so hopefully that means a normal winter - 8 weeks this year - yehaaa
