yea lake = no good, stick with river mouth, heard kiting might be gettin banned from lake to, to many arrogant kiters not listening to locals who want the kites kept well away from kids.
and its full of old men with funny hats windsurfing on kilometer wide boards and sails the size of our strong wind kites hehehehehehe, i heard Elanda Pt is ok for kiting, Boreen Pt is just gay...... Elanda has no shops etc tho, just a camp ground....
Aside from what some people say, the lake can be pretty good, esp in a noreaster, but you might as well go to the river if it is. It doesnt get crowded, but be careful about rigging down at the camp grounds. kite + kids = banned
River mouth in Nthly rocks, lakes are gusty in all directions. Just come and talk to one of the locals if you come to the river mouth, we are trying to keep it from getting banned here, the area can be hard to rig at due to not much sand bar at present also it does get crowded here now and we dont want tourists coming in and smashing into everything, the noosa locals are more than happy to help if ya got the right additude. ie chilled and with a smile
