Hello,
I'm thinking about heading to Lancelin just for a day to kite.
I have never been there and was just wondering if someone can just give me a few names of good places to kite (I really have no idea about Lancelin).
Also, I'm not so keen to go out by myself (I like to work the numbers when it comes to sharks) so is it likely that there will be other kiters out |given the winds in ?

I haven't kited for long but I would rate Lancelin as the best place I have kited!
Given a good weekend, like this one, you will see at least half a dozen kiters out. Where they kite is possibly the best place...nice and flat, shallow and you can travel out the back for some waves. Howvere, if you venture to far into the bay, you will find that the winds become a little too gusty...so stay out around the point.

I kite at lancelin and since the weather has warmed up there has been about 10 wind surfers to every kite. I usualy try and go during the week to avoid the crowd. (still heaps of people though) Might be more kiters on the weekend.
The piont is usualy were I go but sometimes the reef can get a bit shallow so I go to the piont to the north near lancelin island.

I'm heading to wedge island for the weekend with a bunch of mates, ever tried kiting there??

I havnt been kiting there but i have been up the beach most of the way to wedge and i reckon there would be some good spots
