G'day all,

Got a 2011 LF Envy and the dump valve seems to be leaking around the cap. For whatever reason the stopper/valve cap is slowly letting air out. I've tried wrapping some electrical tape around the plug to give it one more girth which has helped a bit, but is not 100% stopping it.

I've also just had to reattach said valve with a valve trap so If I can avoid simply replacing the whole valve that would be ideal.

Thoughts?

Immerse the tip of the valve in very hot (near boiling) water. This should shrink it and seal fine.

put a small cable tie around the outside of the valve. if you do it too tight, you wont get the plug in.

Read it in a kite manual somewhere. worked really well.

Try plumbers tape, as it's not an electrical issue

How about making a new plug out of doweling, or a thick plastic coat hanger. Walk around Bunnings, I'm sure they must have something that would fit.
