Seen quite a few kites, especially beginners at Leighton lately.

Just a reminder from today on it is illegal to kite south of the pedestrian bridge over the railway line at Leighton.

Leighton and Port Beaches (from the railway bridge all the way south to Rouse Head) are no go zones from 1 November to 31 March. This includes the areas in front of Freo Surf Club and the Oyster Bar. (Why someone would kite at Port Beach is beyond me! Such a huge wind shadow from Rouse Head)

Please don't p1ss off the ranger and get us banned!

Was catching the train at North Freo and noticed a few kites kitesurfing right out front of Freo Surf Club at Leighton.

You are not allowed to kite at Leighton in summer! Check the signs, which are pretty clear, at each of the car parks.

NO SURF CRAFT = NO KITES
