Just a reminder to all who use Leighton, that sail craft are not permitted south of the pedestrian railway overpass a couple of hundered metres to the noth of the Leighton surf club. Been a few people out lately around the surf club. Ban is only in place for the spring/summer months. Do a search in the forum for more details.
But please, especially newbs, stay out of this area as crashing on a busy beach full of little kids does not look good for our sport! If you're not confident and crash a bit, there are heaps safer spots to learn to kite, like Woodman Point and the river. Head back to leighton, when your skills are a little more dialled.
Can the experienced guys please help out and remind/help newbs so they're not crashing all over the place. Also if your teaching a mate, it might be worth considering somewhere else, as Leighton is very busy. Plus dogs, little kids, walkers and sunbakers just don't apprecite kites hitting the deck flat out right next to them!

A low kite 30 meters upwind scares the crap out of people who remember the accidents over the past couple of years, no matter how good you are they think your going to loose control and kill them, (being serious here) so keep away from people.
