Stopped in at Melville water on Sunday for a look. Conditions were horrible, wind was blowing/gusting almost directly off the beach (SE). Not at all safe for kiting.

Anyway, 100mtrs off the beach there seems to be a lesson taking place. A red crossbow was up and getting punished in the gusts. Studend appeared to be learning body drags.

I wonder if this was a student and instructor and if so, what a crap safety example for the student!!!

Anyone know who it was?

I stopped by Sunday too, probably too early to see the red crossbow. I have just started so didn't know the wind was going to be that horrible until I got there especially as the wind seemed so nice everywhere there was no water!!

So, just wanted to ask if anyone can suggest a good place for a beginner in a SE'ly?
