As you may know, Carl Bevilacqua has been busy stirring the police and ministers into action about the crime down the beach .. Carl received a written response from the minister about what they've been doing .. read it at /news/detail/crime.asp

Cheers to Carl!

Cheeky cow that's exactly the same as the one she sent meI suppose her secretary did have the decency to change the names.

I wonder if there is an election coming up - hmmm.

Im someone who got robbed at woodies 6 years ago (the first and only time I ever went there!)

so, any idea if the amount of break-ins has gone down since the complaints were made - I havent seen too many postings recently?

Sorry I have just joined this half way thru.
The minister's response was pretty typical rhetoric that adds up to didly squat!
Now is the time to squeeze these lazy dogs though.
Has anyone suggested dummy cameras being placed at strategic locations around the woodies/Leighton/Pinnaroo carparks.
Combined with a few flouro signs alerting the prescence of the cameras this might be as effective as anything (24hrs too) and the upside for the minister is not having to share much of our taxes as the cost would be minimal.

Any thoughts??

Funny that I received the same letter, huh?

at least 'they' know...

I also very pleased to see the Cockburn security patrols, mounted police and police cars at woodies during summer...

Also pleased about the 9 arrests...

That s a good example for Leighton...
