Hey all, anyone got some advise on the best life vest/jacket for kiting??? Anyone actually carrying eperb ect???

This is the minimum PFD I would suggest, it comes with a free Gopro and Gath hat........By your profile pic, you look to have the perfect stance for as much safety gear as possible.....

Hey buddy, Dont be worried about smart arse replies I guess some people are still just too cool for safety ;-)

We use the mystic venom float jacket at the school, best fitting buoyancy aid we found for wearing with a harness, I think that they have a new one now that looks even better.

Given the new rules require a class 1 jacket I'd be real cautious about 'professional' recommendations here.....
I can't see an Aussie rating on the Mystic product...?


Yes we think the new rules are dumb and hope to overturn them, but you just recommended an enclosed waters impact vest with 'some flotation' to a dude who can't spell EPIRB................. if he ended up dead halfway to Rotto, how would you look in a civil lawsuit...?

That was a statement and an opinion, for legal reasons definitely not a recommendation ;-) if you die on your way to Rotto don't come looking for me
