To John and Alexis Bilderbeck - Juls and i did enjoy the movie - thanks.
What a really great DVD, shot in high def, looked awesome on the big screen at home!
Great soundtrack awesome footage, lots of excellent wave riding and flatwater stuff from the SSS invitational in Hateras last season.
Great riders including several Aussies, just a really good movie about kitesurfing, made by kitesurfers.

Anyone seen it? Thoughts?

Its 11pm and I want o go fo a kite

is their a kitesurfing dvd that is comparable to the snowkiteing dvd something stronger? i love the camera work and slow motion close up footage that lets you see the tricks in detail. i have a couple of other kitesurfing dvds that just seems like the same shots over and over from the beach or a distant boat. i wanna see huge tricks close up and sometimes in slow motion so i can understand what they are actully doing. i dont want a dvd that only has unhooked stuff, i like to watch a mix of all different styles huge air, board offs, wake style, rails, freeride, freestyle, wave rideing and some crazy stunts like jumping over a boat or something. u know a dvd that when i show my friends they cant believe what they are seeing and realise how sic kitesurfing is and want to start learning themselves. what dvd can u recomend for me?

At present I would say Catalyst is the probably the closest to what you described and has that similar high quality of filming and editing that somethign stronger has(wicked movie btw.)

For pure surf footage Lines is definetly up there, love the footage from Indo, especially the footage of Reo Stebens, he dominates,

Thanks
Matt

I want Andy Gordon to do a full length feature film. Am a massive fan of his editing skills. Prob the best i've seen actually.

Sorry to disagree, but I thought Lines was the worst movie I have seen for a long time. The music for the first part was so bad I couldnt take in what I was seeing. If the hour movie was cut down to half an hour it might have been OK, there was way to much crap in it. The only saving grace for the whole disappointment was the Indo section.

I agree with corey about some of it. Yeah the editing wasn't the best & could have been a lot tighter. Personally I didn't like most of the music & thought it didn't suit the footage, I ended up turning it down & just watched the footage. But I thought there was a lot of fantastic footage in there regardless of the editing.

John and Alexis Bilderbeck come from a surf photography background, so they do have a great eye for getting the right shot & I have total respect for that, but as far as editing, music choice & even the design of the logos, webpage & dvd covers, it wasn't really up there with some of the other dvds out there today. The best thing about this dvd was the trailer. It certainly had potential based on that, either way check it out for yourself, everyones different.
