I havent tryed bindings on that board But i do like the Slingshot PB floyds. They have a lot of flex and make it easyer to do grabs, no metal parts make them a lot lighter than some other bindings. LF also have a couple of different types of bindings that are also good for kiteing.

How much do you weigh, generaly a 134 board would be a bit to short for boots to get the most out of them, but still can be a lot of fun i have had mine on a 134 it was ok, but now have them on a 140 and there is a lot of difference. I have allso seen a couple of guys run them on a 132 lunacy which seemed ok.

think youd find pb's are in the heavier side of the spectrum.

the 134 is a good board if you just getting into bindings and will work fine, i rode the 08 134 as my boot board when ther were no concepts available n it worked.

boot wise the synergy open toe will be more than fine, might need an adaptor plate or something as the 2010 LF gear has gone to 6inch spacing to mesh with all the wake brands and the 09 is 6.5inch'

you will find a bigger board ( 138 - 140) generally works alot nicer in boots and with a bit more rocker but its not that dramatic of a difference that you will notice when you first get into boots.

The LF wake and RONIX wake range bindings are premo and its just a matter of trying them on n finding a comfortable pair with the amount of stiffness that you want. both should be able to bolt on to your board with minor modifications

Agreed with Chauv. The 134 is/was my personal favourite board last year but I used comp lace on them. Speed and ability to cut upwind is second to none IMO. We have a number of team riders who use the Synergy on the 134, and the heavier (80kgs+) & big feet guys found a bigger board a bit more forgiving.

The Synergy is by far much more comfy & supported than the Unions, but at $559 not many are prepared to spend that much. Saying that, top wakeboots are like $800+, so for the top kiteboots in the market, it is considerably cheaper in comparison. The 2010 Synergy comes in open toes as well as closed (closed $599, open $559). The new Union (U2 boots $579) has a facelift this year and is much more supported.

Boots/bindings is a very important piece of hardware as you are standing on them all the time you kite with your full body weight. You will be surprised how much more comfort and fun a well supported boot/straps/pads will give you. Last you want are cheap boots and you ache for days after each session.

The 2010 Influence or Kaos have been the most poopular choice for bindings users so far this year.

synergies are good light boots, and easy to get in and out of. you can just (carefully) drill an extra hole in the base if the bolts don't line up.
i did that to my synergies so they fit a slingy wakeboard as well as LF kiteboard.
haven't had a go of the new unions but they look like they would tear apart pretty quick.
keep an eye out for a 2nd hand set, or try wake n surf at tweed for really good prices on boots

You can get 09 ronix boots for round about 320 online if you find the right place... They are the same as the 010.

just for looks i guess, i got the 09 ronix ones and they are by far the nicest boots i have ever worn, have tried shanes, watsons, drivers, pbfloyds, hyperlite 3ds, unions, escalades, and the weight and comfort of the ronix just blows the others outa the water. the OT synergies have a similar base plate as the ronix and weigh in around 750g which is super light also and comparable to the ronix range.

i'm riding the 2010 closed toe synergys and they are sweet. Very light and really comfortable. Couldnn't be happier.

If you are just getting into boots, Iwould look at U2's or an older union boot. They are the perfect start for anyone getting into riding boots. IMO too many people go straight for a full on lace up, stiff boot, and get frustrated with the hassles of getting in and out, and the edges you catch in a boot that holds you in better.

what? the only reason i ride boots is cos i love catching edges
so hows the synergies feeling? having a look at them i was considering the OT version if i ddnt have those ronix simply because they are so low to the board... gona have to hit you up for a try soon

They are really nice. Am liking the air cell base. Wasn't so sure after hearing the problems they had with the air cells last year, but they are holding up fine, and make for really soft landings. Even my dodgy ankles like it!
They have the support of the shanes, which i reckon feels nicest kiting (each to their own though).
They are loud too! I want to bust out some flares and a fro for a session, just to complete the picture!!

Ive got the 09 North X-ride 135 X 39 and have fitted a pair of liquid force union bindings i believe theyre the 08 -09 model.. First time in bindings and they feel great to me. Gives a lot more confidence when trying wakestyle tricks with great support for landings. Far fewer body drags to retrieve the board also.

Just need to watch the knees as on my 5th session with them i landed a little awkward and my knee took a good twist and jar.. out of action for a few weeks.
The only problem that i didnt have with the straps...much more care to be taken with the knees.

Still prefer bindings!!

use less duck mate.. its the amount of duck that ruins your knees... duck is a weird thing that kiters got obsessed with and take it over the top.. i only have about 9degree duck on my boots and my knees are holding up fine. been on boots for about 2 and a half yrs and only ****ed em when i broke a board on a loop

Im using the 2010 RONIX Frank at least half the weight of my old LF Transits, comfy as boot, heat moulding is sweet get the perfect fit and they look pimp
Some nice boots in the LF range this year though, but for the 09 board you will need the 6.5 inch base plate
