Hey we have two weeks on Kalua in July. Yippie!! But am wondering if there are other spots to kite on Oahu??

about half way to waikiki you cross a bridge on the freeway over a marina.

A small park just om the Waikiki side of bridge for launch, but have help.

I went to Kailua to find no wind and found this spot on way back and it was perfect 13.5m wind. But straight on shore and if kite drops from sky while you are on the grass, then it will land on freeway.

Kited there with a couple of Canadians and some girl, Sheldon I think her name was, who showed us all up pretty bad.

The reef is bad and there are boating channels carved into it with heaps of markers. Stay away from those steel triangles.
