I had a look there when I first got into the region as it looked to be a great flat water spot. But it is just a huge mud flat with lots of posts and poles all over the place and no water at low tide. It is also a bird sanctury so not too sure if you will be allowed to kite there.

Basically its a no go for kiters as its a protected area.

You really would not want to as there are loads of submerged tree stumps etc.

Lake Connewarre (just off the Bellarine Highway @ Leopold) is a beautiful spot but with very restricted launch site and the wind has to be exactly in the right direction for it to work.

Guess that answers my question hey! Mite have to have a look at that lake, have seen it on the map and wouldn't mind checking it out.

Thanks for the replies Junglist and Karve.
