I came across this post on how to make shackles safe (kiteforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=2343596&hilit=lock)

By coincidence, I found some in BCF, 316 S/S and for only $5.

btw I'm not saying this is or isn't a good idea. Just letting you know where to get some cheap if you're interested.

I think you should start connecting you safety to your harness, not your hand.

No wasn't me, just got if from the forum thread I posted the link to. The thread doesn't say. I'm assuming it was between his leash and Oh ****e handle. Went to pull, missed and that was the result.
