Ive got a 2 metre training kite that'll help you get the hang of flying the kite without looking at it, and the feel of power kites.
But its only the kite, I Use the lines from my 14m Naish for it, Once I get some new gear, you can have my old gear if u want.

do yourself a favour and get a DNA, surper simple starter kite and also great to progress with. Great stability wind range and safety. We started out on these in january and have been riding winter storms and waves down south already.
If you do outgrow it you'll always be able to sell or trade it as they are preferred by a lot of schools.

hey mate

i just got into KS aswell and since your 14 id say you are guranteed not to be able to afford recent stuff, even second hand from the shops is still pricey, they still have to make some money.

Not sure what others think on this but i found ebay to be a good start, and reasonably cheap too. Every now and then they have a few gasstra 5m with bar/lines for less than 300 so that could be a start.

but thats just IMO.

since everyone been giving away sheet on here...I'm gona be a sheep and follow the trend.. a 122cm flex single concave board bought last year..as new.. is yours if you want. will be in perth by 3rd of november till 12th..here's the deal.. the money you saved on the board you got to spend on lessons ..couple hundred bucks boards worth about 500 though.. I would recommend kitehards school if your in perth also as I kite that spot while in perth so could give you the board or if its kewl by kitehard he can pass it on ...if your not in perth will mail.

I also have a 5 meter pulse foil..would suit you for perth winds..but that's gonna cost 700 bucks if your interested.

Hey Andrew,

No worries mate, you can leave it with us and let us know the name of the grom it is destined for, and probably a code word or something so some other toey little grom doesnt' beat him to it. Something like "The lord of the board, will give not to the horde"

Grand gesture! Lucky Grom!

Good winds,

Just search through the for sale section.
Just recently i picked up the following for $800

2004 122 slingy sx

Its pretty easy to find cheap stuff, and with offers of a free board what more could you want.

kitesurfin, buddy seems you have asked the same Question a few times and all answer go along the same line...

go visit Darren @ pinnaroo take some lessons and go from there...

after you have had you lessons then get on and ask your Questions... but for now know this NO-ONE who is going to give you free gear or lessons... we have been real lucky to see 2 super offers of free gear on the sight recently but it's not an every day happening... Gear cost heaps and guys-girls work hard to pay for it...

get your Ma or Pa to get you some lessons for christmas from AKS- Darren Marshall- Kitehard... he is close to your home and a super guy... pay some $$$ to him and your dream of being a kitesurfer will have started...

haha good call manic

kitesurfin what you have to realise is that kiting is nowhere near as easy to get into as say standup surfing. you cant just grab the gear and head down. plus you cant expect people to lend you their gear just because you have asked.
get some lessons and go from there. guys like rob and darren at pinnas will be able to point you in the right direction for some gear.
xmas is only a few months away.

If you do get a chance to get into kiting, then keep an eye out for FREE kitesurfing clinics which are hosted by local schools from time to time. Noosa has one on the 4th November hosted by Noosa Kiteboarding and Adventure Sports Kitesurf Australia and Surf Connect are doing them in Sandgate Brisbane.

Alot of guys and girls have been taught by friends, which is great, but alot of the safety basics get missed. These clinics are designed to help you out, but to keep kitesurfing safe and in the communities good books, so that we can continue to kite our local hot spots for years to come.

If in doubt ask AKSA for info on local kitesurfing clinics in your area.

Our suggestion for the best beginners kite is a Turbo Diesel 2 (great relaunch and tough as). Be aware that cheap kites on ebay are rarely good beginners kites. They are hard to come by because they are just that, good kites and usually get sold on very quickly.

Best of luck
