Just an idea, what does everyone think about having a separate area in the forums for lost and found stuff. Laurie?

Good idea .. seems to be a lot of it going on .. is everyone so shagged after a session that they forget what they're doing?!

Anyone else for it?

May as well with the amount of lost stuff lately, people know where to look for it and once its been found delete the thread.

Hey Laurie,

We were talking about loading up the wind stats for Queensland on this site. Even though I am on the gold coast I always come back to my favourite forum ! So if you could get same graphs happening that would be most excellent and I'll see if I can get some of these banana benders to log on and check it out.

p.s

Talking about benders had one last night in Surfers Paradise - good value !!!
Gidday to all the West Oz crew !

I don't think a seperate forum for lost & found would be effective. It is great that WAKSA have found room here for WAKSA specific threads, we all know how used this site is so it is the perfect place. However I for one admit to only clicking on the WAKSA forum every 1-2 weeks or so, trying to make sure I check up on it regularly but it is not the main reason I come into the site. I think if there is a sepearte lost & found forum the same will happen, fewer people will know about it until it is old news (already turned up or too many days old to bother hoping it might still be there.) I think it would defeat the purpose to seperate L&F from the mainm forum and I actually reckon the WAKSA threads be returned to the mainstream forum, perhaps with their titles in another colour to make them easily identifiable. What do others think, now be honest about how often you actually check the WAKSA forum:-)

I was thinking the same thing Jess - that most people won't look in there.. but then again, if you lost or found something maybe you would?

By the way, the "Active Topics" link up the top is a handy way to see all the new posts that have arrived since your last visit...

As for Queensland Ioz, I hear you! That makes 2 people who've asked for Qld! Is there much kitesurfing action over there?

There is a healthy k surfing scene here on the Goldy, estimated to be around 200 kiters. The wind is not as consistant as in the West but accesability to waves is the flipside to that. My last session was 20 - 25 knts with fun beachbreaks (though that was 4 days ago now) going to have to bust the surfboard out to kite on these lighter wind days. - Oh - and the eye candy on the beach is a pleasant bonus !
