Hey Ry,

It's best to fly into Canberra, it's only 2 and a half hours by hire car, or, you can get a connecting flight into Merimbula itself, catch a taxi to the "Tween Waters Cara Park" and providing they don't go to Tathra or Pambula, then you won't need wheels at all or just bum a lift.

Sydney and Melbourne are about equidistant and will take you about 5 and a bit hours depending upon how you drive and which route you take. Look into hiring a "wicked" camper and that will be cheaper and easier for both accomodation and wheels. You can get them from Syd, Mel or Canberra. Or you can buy my bus off me and drive from Perth only 56 hrs driving each way

Cheers mate

Hey Waveslave,

The bus is going to be advertised for around $15,000. It has been valued at $19900 for insurance companies and will be set up with new rego, new tyres and new battery in a weeks time or so. I'll even have the original motor fully rebuilt and ready to drop in or keep as a spare but this will be at additional cost.

If you are interested, I'll email you a piccie or two.

For Adam, straight down the Snowy Mountains Hwy is the go from Canberra and is around 2.5 hrs. I have driven both inland and coastal routes from Sydney and both are much of a muchness timewise. One is winding and slow through all the coastal towns, which is my normal route, or go via Canberra and it is mostly high speed highways at 120-125kph. :-)
