Was browsing through a map last night and saw Maianbar south of Sydney that looks good for some kiting , has anyone been there, are there any restrictions on kiters being in that area?
I thought this could be a good spot some time ago and went to check it out.
I'm only learning so I wasn't sure what to look for, but I did noticed a few things...
The day I went out there was no wind anywhere but it seemed to be funneling thru this spot some how. Water on either side (sea & river) the river side was very shallow and maybe it could be a good spot for learing to fly/water launch?? Over the mainbar side I walked up the beach thinking this spot is awsome and could be a great spot for kiting. Then as I got to the end of the beach I saw what I knew was a danger. Low power lines (looked about 30M high) over the water from the beach to the land on the other side. I couldn't believe it...
