When does the kiting season generally start (ie consistent 18-29kts) on the sunshine coast.

Good yesterday!! ...I'm fresh from WA....wanna know if the wind is now IN..

My advise, Make the most of the wind thats about now.

Good consistent seabreezes wont be around for a few months

, the inconsistent and gusty westerlies will continue on for a few more months after this SE treat wears off.

Yesterday and today are unseasonal but well recieved.

I would guess you wont get many people who kite on the sunny coast answering this post today. All out already

Welcome to the Sunshine Coast - there's an awesome kiting scene here on the coast - just not at the moment - yesterday was an exception - well used though (I'm pretty sore today) and stoked that I got to use my 10 Switchblade that I bought 2 weeks ago.

The majority of our winds in summer are 15-20 or 18-25 very rarely consistent 18-29. I think you'll see bigger kites here than in WA.

Give it a couple of months before we see any sort of consistency.
