Any one kitesurfed in Mauritius. I probably best described as an intermediate mature rider ! Direct flights from Perth promoted in the Sunday times...

I think they just had a wave comp there with the like of Pivec, Vari, Wilson etc with plenty of barrels had by all.
That would suggest it is pretty ** hot

Like anywhere, make sure you head there in the right season. I was there in April and while had hoped to get a kite in there were no winds. The reason for the trip was honeymoon (wife wouldn't move wedding date to suit!). I did travel down to the south of the island where a lot of kiting/windsurfing goes on and it was dead calm. Loads of kites/kiters just sittting on the beach. But if winds going off it looked like a great place to get out on the water.
