Hi i will be staying for two weeks in point lonsdale victoria. I can only bring one kite and i am wondering wich size i should take. I am from holland and have no idea if there is wind in this region. I will be using (when there is wind) a surfboard strapless so i can probably bring a size smaller then when using a twintip. I have a 6m 8m 10m and a 12m. I reckon it will be a 12 or a 10. So i need some advice

Thanks

joburg,

If you are riding the surfboard a 10m should be all you will need......... but to really get a better idea.

How much do you weigh ?

What sort of kite are you flying ?

In Melb and surrounds our seabreezes at that time of year are usually between 15 -25knots.

but you won't get as strong a seabreeze if you're in point lonsdale as you do further up the bay. strong currents run through the point lonsdale area too.

if you have a car you are better off to head down the coast towards torquay/anglesea if you want waveriding

Hi guys

Thanks for the information. I will take the 10m then because i am using a surfboard. It starts being fun from about 15 knots. So i think it will work out. I will stay at my cousin house and he has a surfboard range from 5 ft till 7 ft so there must something i can use.

You will need a 12m i live at rye and used my surfboard which i surf on and kite with as much as i can which is not that much as the seabreeze down at the back beach is 5 knots less than melbourne mostly 13knots .
