It seems to have started again...madness at melville. I caught my first errant kite today.

As you know, Melville can get quite gusty and today was no exception, particulary between 2-3PM with a 13-18kt NW pushing 25kt onshore at LuckyBay.

Two guys were out there with one guy instructing the other, no more than 50m offshore on a 6.5m2 kite when the inexperienced one attempted to take off on the board, when a gust hit and the kite took off by itself.

After retrieving it for them on the other side of the melville parade/road, I innocently asked them about using a bypass leash when the learned one retorted that "they where overated!"

...you make your mind up. (That reminds me, whens the next Melville users meeting/sundowner)

Should have just hot launched him anton [}:)] Then replied realy, over rated you say hum...

I got no time for ****wits like that anymore... You try do the right thing to someone who is obviously a novice and they throw it back in your face...

This is not the shops fault, who sold the gear to him !. It's not even the instructor who gave the person lesson !. It's the individuals fault who holds the kite in his hands...

When are people going to take back responcibility for their actions ? Simply blaiming someone else does not cut it in my book...
