Anyone aiming to get out in these 25-35 knot WA winds if and when they arrive? Looks like another dose of high wind is going to waste around midnight tonight.
I do not like frontal kiting, but find it a challange to get that good kiting opening like some of the local pros manage to do. Yesterday I was out, but 1/2 too late...I mis-read the rain radar. I found the kiting very difficult as the power was like a vibrator, with me constantly having to adjust...so sad. However, there were 2 kiters out there who knew what they were doing and they had a blast...getting huge air.
My timing was off, and my skills too low to enjoy the weather....but I did have an experience. Got caught in a sqaull for the first time and it was a bit of a rush, but not fun.
Today I played the wind with my 3m land kite and found it pleasurable. I knew that if I had been out on the water that I would not have had any fun.
