Just upgraded my SB3 12M for a SB4 12M,
AND as I am after a smaller kite and found out there was a runout 9m 08 Rev on offer I bought it as an afterthought. (thanks for looking after me L ;)

Just wondering what people think about mixing the two types of kite - if it's a good idea or not etc.

Even kites in the same brand/ model would fly differently between 12 and 9m right?

I am hoping I can just switch between the two without any adverse technique or getting used to it again period. Just a bit worried it will take me half a sesh to get used to the other kite every time..
Whaydya reckon, will it be a good combo?

I could have got a 13m 09 rev instead of the switchy but thought the sb4 was a better option.

You're right. Different size kites will perform slightly differently irrespective of the brand in any case. The two kites you have gone with are in a similar vein in any case, being hybrid/SLE kites. I doubt you will have to "get used" to much when swapping any more than you would have with the same brand but in different sizes. In short, all will be sweet.

just dont leave them alone in the car together, if they get hot and bothered they may start having arguments about who has the biggest wind range which will lead to fighting. kite rage is no good...

This is a good question, as these days I usually keep like kites in my quiver as have found in the past they do take a little transition time between them, but this year I'm gonna get a 8m Bandit Dos having a demo on it was obvioulsy a mistake, as I loved it, I usually fly SB's I have the new sb4's 10m and 12m but want a 8m for those big days, and this kite has so much grunt it's very deceptive and I'd have to say it is gruntier than the SB of same size.
Going off track a bit here sorry.
